“By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me – a prayer to the God of my life.” Psalm 42:8
Are weeds of worry and care choking the joy of your spirit? A beautiful spirit must be regularly watered with trust and faith.
“IN THE GARDEN” by C. Austin Miles
“I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses.
And the voice I hear falling on my ear;
the Son of God discloses.
And he walks with me and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own.
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known. He speaks and the sound of His voice is so sweet
the birds hush their singing.
And the melody that He gave to me
within my heart is ringing.
And he walks with me and He talks with me,
And he tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.”
The only way to be renewed in your spirit is through Divine Companionship. Walking and talking with the LORD, resting and thinking of Him, loving and praising Him. Find your joy in Him!
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far out weighs them all.” II Corinthians 4:16, 17
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” II Corinthians 4:18
Oh, I love that hymn. It’s the one my great-grandma would ask me to play over and over on the piano. I haven’t played it in years. I’ll be doing that today.
Thank you for the well-timed reminder!
All for Him,
Nikki
It is also a favorite of mine. I can still remember my Mother’s sweet voice singing it as a solo in church when was a little girl. Hope you have a beautiful day!

That was one of my Mother’s favorite hymns–I think of it when I weed my garden–alone!
Thinking about words like those and singing always helps me get done with tasks I’m not fond of. Too bad the rabbits don’t just eat the weeds. Blessings.

I always enjoy that first verse you’ve posted from Corinthians. It’s always very reassuring to me (and beautiful photos to go along with the post!)
I agree completely. Thanks so much for you comment and so glad that you stopped by. May the LORD place His song in your heart all day long. Blessings

That bench looks like the perfect place to mediate on all He has done for us. Thak you.
And thank you for stopping by today. Hope you have a beautiful day filled with His peace and joy. To God be the glory!
Beautiful message, The garden of roses is beautiful Thanks for sharing and I appreciate you stopping by My Journal of Praise and liking posts.
Thank you for your sweet comment, Darlene. I love roses and when I see the beauty of one I can’t help but think about the beauty of the mind of God that created it.
To God be all the glory.
